Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  2. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  3. Remove the rear view mirror. Refer to Power Mirror Replacement .
  4. Remove the outer sealing strip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement .
  5. Remove the door weather-strip. Refer to Front Side Door Weatherstrip Replacement .
  6. Remove the door window weather-strip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Weatherstrip Replacement .
  7. Remove the window guide. Refer to Door Window Guide Replacement .
  8. Remove the door lock. Refer to Front Side Door Lock Replacement .
  9. Remove the door lock cylinder. Refer to Door Lock Cylinder Replacement .
  10. Remove the outside door handle. Refer to Front Side Door Outside Handle Replacement .
  11. Remove the door window. Refer to Front Side Door Window Replacement .
  12. Remove the door window regulator and motor. Refer to Front Side Door Window Regulator Replacement .
  13. Remove the front upper door speaker. Refer to Front Upper Speaker Replacement in Entertainment.
  14. Remove the front lower door speaker. Refer to Radio Front Side Door Lower Speaker Replacement in Entertainment.
  15. Remove the front door body side molding. Refer to Front Side Door Molding Replacement in Exterior Trim.
  16. Remove the front lower door side molding. Refer to Front Side Door Lower Molding Replacement in Exterior Trim.
  17. Remove the left fender, if necessary. Refer to Front Fender Replacement - Left Side in Body Front End.
  18. Remove the right fender, if necessary. Refer to Front Fender Replacement - Right Side in Body Front End.
  19. Remove the door check link. Refer to Front Side Door Check Link Replacement .

  20. Release the door wiring harness grommet and unroute the wiring harness (3) from the door (6) and door jamb, if equipped.
  21. Remove the front door wiring harness from the vehicle, if equipped.
  22. Remove all the retainers from the front door (6).
  23. Mark the door hinge (2, 4) location.
  24. Remove the following components from the vehicle:
    25. • The 4 door to hinge bolts (1, 5)
    • The front door (6)

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 626953 Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the front door (6) to the vehicle. Align the matchmarks on the hinges (2, 4) in order to aid in the correct adjustment of the door. Secure the door to the hinges (2, 4) with the 4 bolts (1, 5).

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the door to hinge bolts to 26 N·m (19 lb ft).

  2. Install all the plastic retainers to the door (6).
  3. Route the door wiring harness (3) and seat the grommet into position in the door (6).
  4. Install the door check link. Refer to Front Side Door Check Link Replacement .
  5. Install the left fender, if removed. Refer to Front Fender Replacement - Left Side in Body Front End.
  6. Install the right fender, if removed. Refer to Front Fender Replacement - Right Side in Body Front End.
  7. Install the front door body side molding. Refer to Front Side Door Molding Replacement in Exterior Trim.
  8. Install the front door side molding. Refer to Front Side Door Lower Molding Replacement in Exterior Trim.
  9. Install the door window regulator and motor. Refer to Front Side Door Window Regulator Replacement .
  10. Install the front lower door speaker. Refer to Radio Front Side Door Lower Speaker Replacement in Entertainment.
  11. Install the front upper door speaker. Refer to Front Upper Speaker Replacement in Entertainment.
  12. Install the door window. Refer to Front Side Door Window Replacement .
  13. Install the outside door handle. Refer to Front Side Door Outside Handle Replacement .
  14. Install the door lock cylinder. Refer to Door Lock Cylinder Replacement .
  15. Install the door lock. Refer to Front Side Door Lock Replacement .
  16. Install the door window weather-strip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Weatherstrip Replacement .
  17. Install the door weather-strip. Refer to Front Side Door Weatherstrip Replacement .
  18. Install the outer sealing strip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement .
  19. Install the outside rearview mirror. Refer to Power Mirror Replacement .
  20. Install the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  21. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
