Removal Procedure
- Position the window half way down.
- Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
- Remove the front door water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
- Remove the front door inner belt sealing strip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement .
- Remove the window to window regulator bolts (1,2).
- Rotate the window and remove the front door window from the front door.
Installation Procedure
- Align the front door window between the inner and the outer door panels.
- Install the window to the window regulator bolts (1, 2).
- Install the front door window inner belt sealing strip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement .
- Install the front door water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
- Install the front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
| 1.1. | Position the front door window to the front door between the inner and the outer panels. |
| 1.2. | Point the lower front corner of the front door window down and pass the front door window through the belt opening. |
| 1.3. | Align the edges of the front door window with the front door window weather-strip. |
| 1.4. | Rotate the front door window to a horizontal position. |
| 1.5. | Align the holes in the front door window with the holes in the front door window regulator. |
Ensure that the window clips are seated on the regulator carrier plate.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Important: Install the forward window to window regulator bolt first.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
Important: Ensure that both sealing lips on the outer belt sealing strip are not rolled over and pointing downwards. If this condition is present the window will not raise properly.
