Removal Procedure
  1. Close the sunroof.
  2. Remove the sunroof module. Refer to Power Sunroof Module Replacement .
  3. Remove the glass panel. Refer to Sunroof Glass Panel Replacement .
  4. Remove the sunshade panel (3). Refer to Sunroof Sunshade Replacement .
  5. Remove the finishing lace (1). Refer to Sunroof Opening Trim Finish Lace Replacement .
  6. Remove the sunroof motor (7). Refer to Power Sunroof Motor Replacement .
  7. Remove the rivets from the sunroof tube retainers (located on the motor bracket).

  8. Remove the sunroof track screws.
  9. Remove the tie wraps holding the drive tube (6) to the retaining tube (5).
  10. Pull the cable out of the plastic return tube.
  11. Remove the sunroof track and lifter arm assembly by pushing the track assembly inwards to loosen  (9).
  12. Remove the sunroof drive tube retainer  (10) from the end of the track and the copper drive tube.

Installation Procedure
  1. Feed the sunroof drive cable through the copper drive tube.
  2. Install the sunroof drive tube retainer with the copper drive tube into the track end.
  3. Install the sunroof track and lifter arm assembly into the module frame.
  4. Feed the sunroof drive cable through the plastic return tube.
  5. Align the track parallel such that there is 666  mm between the left and right track at the front and rear of the track.

    6. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  6. Install the sunroof track screws.

    7. Tighten
    Tighten the sunroof track screws to fully driven and fully seated. Do not strip the screws.

  7. Install the sunroof cable wear plate.
  8. Install the sunroof tube retainers to the motor bracket  (10).
  9. Install the rivet to the sunroof tube retainer.
  10. Verify that the forward glass adjustment screw hole in the lifter arm is in aligned with the small hole in the cable cam assembly. If required, push the lifter arm and/or the cable cam forward to align the two holes.
  11. Install the sunroof motor (7). Refer to Power Sunroof Motor Replacement .
  12. Tie wrap the drive (6) and return tubes (5) together.
  13. Install the sunshade panel. Refer to Sunroof Sunshade Replacement .
  14. Install the finishing lace. Refer to Sunroof Opening Trim Finish Lace Replacement .
