Makes 🢒 Saturn 🢒 2003 🢒 L300/LW300 🢒 Brakes 🢒 Hydraulic Brakes 🢒 Rear Disc Brake Backing Plate Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Raise and support the vehicle on a hoist. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the rear wheels and tires. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.

    3. Object Number: 891922 Size: SH
  3. Relieve the park brake system tension at the equalizer assembly.
  4. Remove the rear caliper. Refer to Rear Brake Caliper Replacement .
  5. Remove the rear rotor. Refer to Rear Brake Rotor Replacement .

    6. Object Number: 891507 Size: SH
  6. Remove the rear wheel bearing/hub assembly. Refer to Rear Wheel Bearing and Hub Replacement in Rear Suspension.
  7. Remove the disc brake backing plate.

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the disc brake backing plate to the vehicle.

    2. Object Number: 891507 Size: SH
  2. Install the rear wheel bearing/hub assembly to the vehicle. Refer to Rear Wheel Bearing and Hub Replacement in Rear Suspension.
  3. Install the rear rotor. Refer to Rear Brake Rotor Replacement .
  4. Install the rear caliper. Refer to Rear Brake Caliper Replacement .
  5. Adjust the park brake assembly. Refer to Park Brake Adjustment in Park Brake.
  6. Install the rear wheels and tires. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
  7. Lower the vehicle from the hoist.
