The redesigned lower primary camshaft drive chain guide is retained to the block with shouldered bolts.
The engine specifications for engine unit repair have not changed for 2001.

The lower primary camshaft drive chain guide has changed from a composite construction to all plastic construction utilizing shouldered bolts to retain the lower primary camshaft drive chain guide to the block.
