  2. Using a test light, probe between the R/CMPT REL fuse circuit 840 and B+.

Is the test light on?

  2. Disconnect the transaxle range switch connector C1.

Is the test light on?

  2. Disconnect the rear compartment lid lock release actuator connector.
  3. Using a test light, backprobe between the rear compartment lid lock release actuator connector terminal A and terminal B.
  4. Press the rear compartment lid release switch.

Did the test light turn on?

  1. Disconnect the transaxle range switch connector C1.
  2. Using a test light, frontprobe between the transaxle range switch connector C1 terminal B and ground.

    3. Is the test light on?

  1. Disconnect the Park/Neutral Position (PNP) switch connector C1.
  2. Using a DMM, test the PNP switch for continuity between connector C1 terminals B and C.

Is there continuity though the PNP switch?

Inspect for a poor connection or an open in circuit 840 between the PNP switch connector C1 terminal B and the underhood accessory wiring junction block connector C1 terminal F1.

Is there an open or a poor connection in circuit 840?

Repair poor connection or open in circuit 275 between the PNP switch connector C1 terminal C and the underhood accessory wiring junction block connector C1 terminal F9.

  1. Inspect the adjustment of the PNP switch. Refer to Park/Neutral Position Switch Adjustment in Automatic Transaxle - 4T65-E.
  2. If adjustment does not repair the condition, replace the PNP switch. Refer to Park/Neutral Position Switch Replacement in Automatic Transaxle - 4T65-E.
