Removal Procedure

  1. Open the rear door.
  2. Remove the rear door rubber conduit. Refer to Rear Side Door Conduit Replacement .
  3. Open the front door.
  4. Independently support the rear door with an adjustable lifting device.

  5. Object Number: 656127  Size: SH
  6. Remove the rear door intermediate bolts (1).
  7. Remove the rear door.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 656127  Size: SH
  1. Align the rear door to the vehicle with the help of an assistant.
  2. Independently support the rear door with an adjustable lifting device.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

    Important: Use Loctite® Blue GM P/N 123453852 or the equivalent prior to the fastener installation.

  4. Install the rear door intermediate hinge bolts (1).
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the rear door intermediate hinge bolts to 33 N·m (24 lb ft).

  6. Remove the adjustable rear door independent support.
  7. Install the rear door rubber conduit. Refer to Rear Side Door Conduit Replacement .
  8. Adjust the rear door. Refer to Door Adjustment .
