Up/Down or In/Out Adjustment


    Object Number: 656127  Size: SH

    Important: Do not completely remove the hinge to door and hinge to body bolts.

  1. Loosen the hinge to door bolts (2).
  2. Adjust the door up or down and in or out as required.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Tighten the hinge to door bolts (2).
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the hinge to door bolts to 33 N·m (24 lb ft).

Fore/Aft Adjustment

  1. Remove the front fender sound insulator. Refer to Front Fender Insulator Replacement .
  2. Important: Do not completely remove the hinge to body bolts.

  3. Loosen the body to hinge bolts (1).
  4. Important: Do not remove the cone adjuster bolt.

  5. Loosen the hinge to body cone adjuster bolt (3).
  6. Important: Do not remove the hinge to body TORX® bolt (2).

  7. Loosen the hinge to body TORX® bolt.
  8. Adjust the door fore and aft as required.
  9. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure.   10. Tighten the hinge to body TORX® bolt (2).
  11. Tighten
    Tighten the hinge to body TORX® bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  12. Tighten the hinge to body cone adjuster bolt (3).
  13. Tighten
    Tighten the hinge to body cone adjuster bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  14. Tighten the hinge to body bolts (1).
  15. Tighten
    Tighten the hinge to body bolts to 33 N·m (24 lb ft).

  16. Install the front fender sound insulator. Refer to Front Fender Insulator Replacement .
