Removal Procedure
- Open the front door.
- Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to
Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement
.
- Remove the lower front corner of the water deflector to allow
access to the front door window regulator motor.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the front door window
regulator motor.
- Remove the front door
window regulator motor to door screws.
- Position the front door window regulator motor through the access
opening to allow removal of the front door window regulator motor to regulator
screws.
- Remove the front door window regulator motor to regulator screws.
- Remove the front door window regulator motor and bracket from
the front door.
Installation Procedure
- Align the front door window
regulator motor and bracket to the front door window regulator.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the front
door window regulator motor to regulator screws.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 6 N·m (53 lb in).
- Position the front door window regulator motor through the opening
in the door.
- Install the front door window regulator motor to door screws.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
- Connect the electrical connector to the front door window regulator
motor.
- Install the lower front corner of the water deflector.
Important: Discard the old door trim panel retainers and replace with new retainers
before installing the door trim panel.
- Install the new door trim panel retainers to the door.
- Install the front door trim panel. Refer to
Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement
.
- Close the front door.
