Radio Antenna Cable Extension Cable Replacement Fixed Window Antenna U77

1. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement in Seats.
2. Remove the right upper quarter trim panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
3. Lower the rear headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.



4. Disconnect the antenna extension cable from the antenna amplifier.
5. Remove the antenna extension cable and tape along the right C-pillar.
6. Remove the right rear carpet retainer. Refer to Rear Carpet Retainer Replacement in Interior Trim.
7. Remove the right center lower pillar trim. Refer to Center Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement in interior Trim.
8. Adjust the rear carpet for access.
9. Remove the right instrument panel insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
10. Remove the instrument panel compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
11. Remove the right front carpet retainer. Refer to Front Carpet Retainer Replacement in Interior Trim.
12. Adjust the front carpet for access.
13. Remove the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement .
14. Cut off the visible ends of the front and/or middle extension cables to be replaced:

•	If the front extension cable is to be replaced, cut off the end which connects to the radio control; disconnect the front extension cable from the middle extension cable along the front door hinge pillar, then cut off the end of the cable.

•	If the antenna middle extension cable is to be replaced, disconnect the middle extension cable from the front extension cable along the front door hinge pillar, then cut off the end of the middle cable; cut off the end which connects to the rear extension cable.





Important: Take note of the antenna extension cables routing before removal from the vehicle.

15. Remove the antenna front and/or middle extension cables from the vehicle.

1. Install the antenna front and/or middle extension cables to the vehicle.

Important: Use electrical tape in order to secure the antenna extension cable to the top of the wiring harness. Ensure that the cable is secured to the harness at least every 150 mm (6 in) in order to avoid any possible damage to the cable.

2. Use electrical tape to attach the antenna front extension cable along the outside of the wiring harness.
3. Connect the antenna front extension cable to the antenna middle extension cable near the B-pillar of the vehicle.
4. Use electrical tape to attach the middle extension cable to the wiring harness near the B-pillar.
5. Install the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement .
6. Install the front carpet.
7. Install the right front carpet retainer. Refer to Front Carpet Retainer Replacement in Interior Trim.
8. Install the instrument panel compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
9. Install the right instrument panel insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
10. Install the right center lower pillar trim panel. Refer to Center Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
11. Install the rear carpet.
12. Install the right rear carpet retainer. Refer to Rear Carpet Retainer Replacement in Interior Trim.



13. Connect the antenna extension cable to the antenna amplifier.
14. Use electrical tape to secure the antenna extension cable to the C-pillar.
15. Install the rear headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim
16. Install the right upper quarter trim panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
17. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement in Seats.
