Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 328459  Size: SH
  1. Remove the instrument panel assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel Assembly Replacement .
  2. Remove the connector housing bracket from the right I/P center support brace.
  3. Remove the 2 plastic retainers (2) which secure the floor panel carpet to the I/P center support braces (1).

  5. Remove the following components from the vehicle:
  6. • The 3 nuts
    • The 2 bolts
    • The I/P center support braces (5)

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 328061  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the I/P center support braces (5) to the vehicle. Secure the braces with the following retainers:
  2. • The 3 nuts
    • The 2 bolts

    Tighten
    Tighten the I/P center support brace nuts and bolts to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  3. Install the 2 plastic retainers (2) which secure the floor panel carpet to the I/P center support braces (1).
  4. Install the connector housing bracket to the right I/P center support brace.
  5. Install the instrument panel assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel Assembly Replacement .
