🢒 Wiper Arm Tip Pressure Check, Blade Element Check
Wiper Arm Tip Pressure Check
Run the wiper arms to the mid-wipe position.
Remove the wiper blades from the wiper arms. Refer to
Windshield Wiper Blade Replacement
.
Attach a scale to the end of the wiper arm and measure the force required to lift the wiper arm perpendicular to the windshield to normal working height (height with the blade attached).
Replace the wiper arm if the measurement is not within the specification. Refer to
Windshield Wiper Arm Replacement

Tip Pressure
Driver side -- 8.1-9.5 Newtons (26-31 oz)
Passenger side -- 5.8-7.0 Newtons (19-25 oz)
Install the wiper blades on the wiper arms. Refer to
Windshield Wiper Blade Replacement

Blade Element Check
Remove the wiper blades from the wiper arms. Refer to
Windshield Wiper Blade Replacement
.
Look down the length of the blade element.
Replace the wiper blade if the rubber element which contacts the glass is not on the centerline of the blade +/-15 degrees.
Install the wiper blades on the wiper arms. Refer to
Windshield Wiper Blade Replacement
