Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 494775 Size: SH
  1. Remove the cable at the PNP switch

    2. Object Number: 494499 Size: SH
  2. Remove the cable from the cable bracket
  3. Remove the center console. Refer to Console Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.

    4. Object Number: 494825 Size: SH
  4. Remove the cable at the shift control assembly.

    5. Object Number: 494624 Size: SH
  5. Remove the cable grommet at the cowl.

    6. Object Number: 494426 Size: SH
  6. Remove the cable from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 494426 Size: SH
  1. Install the cable through the cowl.

    2. Object Number: 494825 Size: SH
  2. Install the cable at the shift control assembly
  3. Install the center control. Refer to Console Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.

    4. Object Number: 494499 Size: SH
  4. Install the cable at the transmission cable bracket.

    5. Object Number: 494775 Size: SH
  5. Install the cable at the transmission selector lever.
  6. Adjust the cable.
  7. Place the shift lever in NEUTRAL. You can find NEUTRAL by rotating the selector shaft clockwise from PARK through REVERSE to NEUTRAL.
  8. Place the shift control assembly in NEUTRAL.
  9. Pull the cable locking clip fully upward.
  10. Push the on the cable adjuster in order to adjust cable in the cable mounting bracket.
