Preliminary Procedures

    Important: It is not necessary to discharge the refrigerant from the air conditioning (A/C) system during auxiliary transmission oil cooler (TOC) line replacement. Remove the A/C condenser mounting bolts and reposition the condenser.

  1. Reposition the condenser to access the transmission oil cooler lines. Refer to Air Conditioning Condenser Replacement .
  2. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
  3. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  4. Remove the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement .

Transmission Fluid Cooler Pipe Bolt

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

Tighten
25 N·m (18 lb ft)

Transmission Fluid Cooler Pipe Brace Bolt

Tighten
50 N·m (37 lb ft)
