Preliminary Procedures

1. Open the liftgate.
2. Remove the liftgate interior trim panel. Refer to Liftgate Trim Panel Replacement .
3. Disconnect the 2 license plate lamp bulb sockets by turning a quarter turn counterclockwise.

Liftgate Center Applique Bolts (Qty: 4)

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

Tighten
2 N·m (18 lb in)

Liftgate Center Applique Nuts (Qty: 2)

Tighten
2 N·m (18 lb in)

Electrical Harness

Tip
Disengage the grommet from the outer liftgate panel.

Liftgate Center Applique Assembly

Tip
Pull the applique rearward and remove the license plate lamp lens.
