Purpose
The purpose of this bulletin is to inform Saturn retailers of two changes to the frame on 2004-2005 Saturn VUE vehicles equipped with the 3.5L V-6 (L66) engine.
| • | New brackets have been added to improve durability for 2004 and later VUEs with the 3.5L V-6 (L66) engine. Changes have been made to the |
| - | "Fastener Tightening Specifications" (SI Document ID #1244320) has been updated to include a value for Frame Reinforcement-to-Body Bolts (L66 Only): 50 N·m (37 ft-lb). |
| - | "Frame Replacement (L66)" procedure (SI Document ID #1360275) has been updated for the addition of the reinforcement brackets. |
| • | Frame insulators (bushings) are now serviceable and can be replaced. Refer to the new procedure on SI, "Frame Cushion or Insulator Replacement" (SI Document ID #1548970). |
The SI website will be updated immediately and future Service Stall System SI CD releases will include this and other Service Manual updates.
