The service parts identification label is located on the instrument panel storage compartment door in order to help service and parts personnel identify the vehicle's original parts and the vehicle's original options.
The following figures show the service parts identification label and how to read it. This label provides identification of vehicle equipment to help in servicing and determining replacement parts. Included on this label will be regular production options (RPOs), standard and mandatory options.
The label is permanently attached inside the vehicle at the assembly plant.
There are three different identification labels: The Tire Pressure Label (1) is located inner side of the Rear Access Door (RAD), the Certification Label (domestic or import) (2), is located on the inner side of the Driver's Door, and the Service Parts Identification (SPID) Label (3) is located on the rear floor trunk.
