Trunk-Mounted CD Changer Option

This section explains how the system works if you have the uplevel AM/FM Cassette or CD Player with Equalizer radio unit with the Saturn remote CD changer installed. The CD changer can only be installed in the trunks of Saturn coupes and sedans.

AX Button

To access the compact disc (CD) mode, press the auxiliary (AX) button. The CD changer will be played whenever the key is in the "ON" or "ACC" position and the radio is turned on. If your vehicle is not equipped with the Saturn Optional Remote CD Changer or if there are not discs inserted in the CD changer, pressing the AX button will cause no action.

How to Play a Compact Disc

If you have the option compact disc changer, you can play up to 12 discs continuously. Normal size discs can be played using the trays supplied in the cartridge. The small 8 cm discs can be played only with specially designed trays (not available through Saturn Service Parts.
