CONDITION: Some customers may comment about a rattle noise when turning left while in 2nd gear.
CAUSE: The rattle noise may be caused by a damaged reverse shift lever assembly or a broken reverse shift lever spring that allows the reverse idler gear assembly to make contact with the 1st/2nd & Reverse synchronizer when the vehicle is turning left while in 2nd gear.
CORRECTION: Replace the damaged reverse shift lever assembly. Also, inspect the reverse idler gear assembly and 1st/2nd & Reverse synchronizer for damage or excessive wear, and replace if necessary. (Refer to appropriate year "Manual Transaxle" service manual for repair procedures.)
