EXPANDED TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE CENTER HOURS OF OPERATIONS

SUBJECT: Expanded Saturn Technical Assistance Center Hours of Operation

TO: All Saturn Retail Service Team Members

We are pleased to announce the operating hours for the Technical Assistance Center (TAC) will be expanded effective January 16, 1996. These changes are the result of the operating hours piloted from July through December, technician surveys, and Saturn's quest for continuous improvement.

Technical Assistance Center Hours Of Operation:

Monday: 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Central Time Tuesday-Friday: 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Central Time

NOTE: All other TAC phone system operations will be unchanged. The TAC Tips' messages, and access to provide case closing information is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. For additional information on the TAC phone system or operational policies, refer to Service Information Bulletin 95-I-21.

The TAC Team Meeting takes place on Monday morning until 9:30 a.m. This allows for greater internal communication of product issues.

As a result of Retailer input, TAC will continue to remain open through normal lunch hours. Therefore, the system will be short staffed from 11:30 a.m. through 1:30 p.m., central time, as our team rotates their lunch period.

Contacting TAC on Operational Issues:

To review any issues involving the Technical Assistance Center telephone system or operational issues, please contact the Technical Assistance Center Team Leader, Bob Wittmann, at (615) 486-7670.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
