Due to an error in the VIN breakpoints, this bulletin supercedes bulletin 95-T-43, which should be discarded. Bulletin 95-T-43A was never distributed; therfore, 95-T-43B is the ocrrect replacement for 95-T-43.
PURPOSE: This bulletin provides technical information on changes to the material used on the following components, which are used on both the MP6 and MP7 automatic transaxles:
o Clutch internal tang plate o Clutch external tang plate o Clutch apply plate
The friction material on these clutch plates for the lst and 2nd clutch assemblies has been changed to reduce lst to 2nd gear upshift shudder. Automatic transaxles built after and including VIN TZ162921 have the new clutch plates.
In this bulletin, new clutch plates are referred to as 2nd design, and the clutch plates used in vehicles built before and including VIN TZ162920 are referred to as 1st design.
