Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 888497 Size: SH
  1. Remove the lower dash closeout panel from the driver side.

    2. Object Number: 896489 Size: SH
  2. Remove the lower air duct from the driver side.

    3. Important: Removal of the accelerator pedal will provide access to the air temperature actuator.


    Object Number: 1242405 Size: SH
  3. Remove the accelerator pedal mounting nuts.
  4. Remove the accelerator pedal.

    5. Object Number: 896493 Size: SH
  5. Remove the lower console closeout panel.

    6. Object Number: 1242394 Size: SH
  6. Remove the air temperature actuator (1) screws.

    7. Object Number: 1242406 Size: SH
  7. Disconnect the air temperature actuator electrical connector.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1242406 Size: SH
  1. Connect the air temperature actuator electrical connector.

    2. Object Number: 1242394 Size: SH
  2. Install the air temperature actuator (1).

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the air temperature actuator screws.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 1 N·m (9 lb in).

  4. Install the lower console closeout panel.

    5. Object Number: 1242405 Size: SH
  5. Install the accelerator pedal to the cowl.
  6. Install the accelerator pedal mounting nuts.

    7. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  7. Install the lower air duct.

  8. Install the lower dash closeout panel.
