Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the I/P storage compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.

    2. Object Number: 896491 Size: SH
  2. Remove the insulator support from the I/P.

    3. Object Number: 897891 Size: SH
  3. Remove the right side heater duct retainer.
  4. Remove the right side heater duct.

    5. Object Number: 892662 Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the mode actuator.

    6. Object Number: 892670 Size: SH
  6. Remove the mode actuator screws.
  7. Remove the mode actuator.

    8. Object Number: 892694 Size: SH
  8. Remove the mode cam.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 892694 Size: SH
  1. Install the mode cam.
  2. Rotate the cam to verify proper operation.

    3. Object Number: 892670 Size: SH
  3. Install the mode actuator.

    4. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  4. Install the mode actuator screws.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 1 N·m (9 lb in).

  5. Connect the electrical connector to the mode actuator.

    6. Object Number: 897891 Size: SH
  6. Install the right side heater duct.
  7. Install the right side heater duct retainer.

    8. Object Number: 896491 Size: SH
  8. Install the insulator support to the I/P.
  9. Install the I/P storage compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
