Removal Procedure

    Important: Vehicles equipped with the L61 engine w/cruise control must have the left stabilizer removed with the vehicle in a raised position.

  1. If equipped with a L61 engine w/cruise control, raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.

    2. Object Number: 891967 Size: SH
  2. Remove the stabilizer bar clamps.
  3. Remove the bushings from the stabilizer shaft.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 891974 Size: SH
  1. Install the new stabilizer bushings with the opening facing forward.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 891967 Size: SH

    Important: Vehicles equipped with the L61 engine w/cruise control must have the left stabilizer installed with the vehicle in a raised position.

  2. Install the stabilizer shaft clamps.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the stabilizer clamp bolts to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  3. If equipped with the L61 engine w/cruise control lower the vehicle.
