Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement L61

Tools Required

SA9111E Hose Clamp Pliers

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
2. Drain the coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
3. Using SA9111E , remove the clamp which secures the upper radiator hose to the radiator.
4. Remove the upper radiator hose from the radiator.



5. Using SA9111E , remove the clamp which secures the upper radiator hose to the head.
6. Remove the upper radiator hose from the head.

Important: The engine end of the hose is labeled to prevent reverse installation.

The white line on the hose should be installed at the 12 o'clock position.
1. Install the upper radiator hose to the head.
2. Using SA9111E , install the upper radiator hose clamp to the 3 o'clock position.



3. Install the upper radiator hose to the radiator.
4. Using SA9111E , install the upper radiator hose clamp to the 12 o'clock position.
5. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
6. Fill the coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .

Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement L81

Tools Required

SA9111E Hose Clamp Pliers

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
2. Drain the coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .



3. Compress the clamp which secures the upper radiator hose to the engine.

Slide the hose off of the engine fitting. Leave the clamp on the fitting.




4. Using SA9111E , remove the upper radiator hose clamp.
5. Remove the upper radiator hose from the radiator.

Important: The engine end of the hose is labeled to prevent reverse installation.

The white line on the hose should be installed at the 12 o'clock position.
1. Compress the upper radiator hose to the engine clamp.
2. Install the hose onto the engine fitting to the 12 o'clock position.



3. Install the upper radiator hose to the radiator.
4. Using SA9111E , install the upper radiator hose clamp to the 12 o'clock position.
5. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
6. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
