Instrument Panel Air Outlet Vent Replacement Left Side

1. Remove the left side lower I/P closeout panel (hush panel) retainers and let closeout panel hang loose.



2. Remove the I/P filler knee bolster by pulling at the attaching clip locations.



3. Remove the left side A/C vent fastener and partially remove vent.
4. Disconnect the electrical connection from the interior lamp dimmer switch.

1. If the left side A/C vent is being replaced, transfer the interior lamp dimmer switch to new vent.



2. Connect the electrical connection to the interior lamp dimmer switch.
3. Install the left side a/C vent fastener.

Tighten
Tighten the A/C outlet to 2.5 N·m(22 lb in).




4. Install the I/P filler knee bolster



5. Install the left side lower I/P closeout (hush panel) with retainers.

Instrument Panel Air Outlet Vent Replacement Right Side

1. Position the HVAC vent to the upward most position.
2. Pull outward at the bottom of the HVAC vent to unsnap the vent from the housing.

1. Position the vent into the housing with HVAC vent vanes facing downward. Snap it into position.
2. Operate the vent to ensure the proper function.
