Removal Procedure
- Remove the glove compartment door cover. .
- Insert the key into the glove compartment lock cylinder and rotate the cylinder clockwise 90 degrees. The cylinder will stop and the retainer tumbler, first tumbler, will be visible.
- Depress the retainer tumbler with a thin bladed screwdriver.
- Rotate the lock cylinder an additional 90 degrees and remove the lock cylinder.
Installation Procedure
- Insert the key into the lock cylinder.
- Place the key and the lock cylinder into the glovebox door handle.
- Rotate the lock cylinder counterclockwise 180 degrees to engage the retainer tumbler.
- Install the glovebox door cover.
