Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 896651 Size: SH

    Important: Left side shown, right side similar

  1. Move the front seat to the forward most position.
  2. Remove the seat side cover by pulling firmly on the cover.
  3. Remove the shoulder belt fastener and remove the shoulder belt from the seat track.

    4. Object Number: 896656 Size: SH
  4. Partially remove the carpet retainer enough to expose the center pillar lower molding at the carpet retainer.

    5. Object Number: 896867 Size: SH
  5. Using a trim tool, remove the center pillar outside weatherstrip.

    6. Object Number: 897246 Size: SH

    Important: Care must be taken not to drop the fasteners in the center pillar structure.

  6. Remove the shoulder belt height adjuster fasteners.

    7. Object Number: 897238 Size: SH

    Important: Care must be taken not to drop the fasteners in the center pillar structure.

  7. Remove the shoulder belt retractor fastener access plug.
  8. Remove the shoulder belt retractor fastener.

    9. Object Number: 896995 Size: SH

    Important: Upper and lower moldings will stay attached to each other while being removed.

  9. Starting at the top, gently pull on the center pillar upper molding to disengage the attaching clips.

    10. Important: Shoulder belt assembly and height adjuster unit will stay attached to the center pillar upper and lower moldings when the moldings are removed.

  10. Pull on the center pillar lower molding to disengage the attaching clips.
