J 41102-1A Axle Seal Installer
Removal Procedure
- Remove the stub
axle shaft from the transaxle. Refer to
Stub Shaft Removal
.
Important: Do not damage the case bore with a screwdriver.
- Use a screwdriver to remove the axle seal from the case. If necessary, crush
the seal first in order to loosen the seal from the case.
Installation Procedure
Important: The J 41102-1A
must be used in order to install the seal correctly. The J 41102-1
installs the axle seal to a given depth.
- Using a J 41102-1, install a new right side axle seal into the
transaxle case.
Notice: In order to prevent damage to shaft splines during vehicle operation, add grease
P/N 7847638 to the splines on the stub shaft.
- Install the stub axle shaft and RH axle in the transaxle. Refer to
Stub Shaft Sleeve Assembly Installation
.
- Inspect the fluid level. Refer to Transmission Fluid Check
Procedure.
- Inspect the shaft and seal for fluid leaks.
