J 41102-1A Axle Seal Installer

1. Remove the stub axle shaft from the transaxle. Refer to Stub Shaft Removal .

Important: Do not damage the case bore with a screwdriver.

2. Use a screwdriver to remove the axle seal from the case. If necessary, crush the seal first in order to loosen the seal from the case.

Important: The J 41102-1A must be used in order to install the seal correctly. The J 41102-1 installs the axle seal to a given depth.

1. Using a J 41102-1, install a new right side axle seal into the transaxle case.




Notice: In order to prevent damage to shaft splines during vehicle operation, add grease P/N 7847638 to the splines on the stub shaft.

2. Install the stub axle shaft and RH axle in the transaxle. Refer to Stub Shaft Sleeve Assembly Installation .
3. Inspect the fluid level. Refer to Transmission Fluid Check Procedure.
4. Inspect the shaft and seal for fluid leaks.
