Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 892074  Size: SH
  1. Raise the vehicle on the hoist.
  2. Remove the wheel and tire assemblies.
  3. Remove the exhaust muffler hangers.

  4. Object Number: 892450  Size: SH
  5. Remove the heat shield from the rear suspension.

  6. Object Number: 891515  Size: SH
  7. Remove the left and right rear stabilizer bar links to the rear axle control arm bolts.

  8. Object Number: 891578  Size: SH
  9. Remove the stabilizer bar tot he rear suspension attachment fasteners.
  10. Remove the stabilizer bar from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 891578  Size: SH

    Important: If installing onto a new crossmember, loosen the bolt and re-tighten to specification.

  1. Install the stabilizer bar into the vehicle and tighten the stabilizer bar clamp fasteners.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the rear stabilizer bar clamp-to-cross member to 55 N·m (41 lb ft).

  3. Install the stabilizer bar links to the rear axle control arm.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the rear stabilizer bar-to-knuckle to 55 N·m (41 lb ft).

  5. Install the exhaust muffler hangers.

  6. Object Number: 892450  Size: SH
  7. Install the heat shield to the rear suspension support.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the heat shield-to-rear suspension support to 8 N·m (71 lb in).

    Notice: Refer to Wheel Installation Caution in the Preface section.

  9. Install the wheel and tire assemblies onto the hub.
  10. Install the wheel bolts and tighten in a star pattern.
  11. 6.1. Hand tighten all 5 wheel bolts.
    6.2. Use a torque wrench to tighten the wheel bolts using a star pattern.

    Tighten
    Tighten the wheel bolts first pass to 63 N·m (46 lb ft).

    6.3. Use a torque wrench to final tighten the wheel bolts using a star pattern.

    Tighten
    Tighten the wheel bolts final pass to 125 N·m (92 lb ft).

  12. Lower the vehicle from the hoist.
