J 42098 Crank Hub TORX Socket

1. Remove the transmission. Transmission Replacement
2. Use the J 42098 to counterhold the crankshaft to remove the flexplate bolts.
3. Remove the flexplate from the crankshaft.
4. Clean the rear crankshaft flange.

1. Install the flexplate to the crankshaft.

•	Use new flex plate bolts.

•	Coat the new flex plate bolts with LOCTITE® 272 Threadlocker or equivalent.

2. Use the J 42098 to counterhold the crankshaft and install the flexplate bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the flex plate bolt to 65 N·m (48 lb ft) + 30° + 15°.
