Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 897541 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the air pump harness connector.
  2. Remove the outlet and inlet hoses.
  3. Remove the air pump and bracket assembly bolts.
  4. Remove the air pump from the air pump bracket.

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the pump onto the air pump bracket.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the air pump-to-bracket bolts.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the air-to-bracket bolts to 5.5 N·m (49 lb in).

  3. Install the inlet and outlet hoses to the air pump assembly.
  4. Install the air pump assembly to the oil pan.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the pump-to-oil assembly pan bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  5. Connect the air pump harness connector. Push in the connector until a click is heard and pull back to confirm positive engagement.
