Condition
Some customers may comment that the Service Engine Soon light is illuminated. DTC P1683 and/or P0116 are set.
Cause
The ECM software/calibration may incorrectly fail the diagnostic test for P1683 and/or P0116.
Correction
Reprogram the ECM if DTC P1683 and/or P0116 are set.
Service Procedure
Reprogram the ECM using Saturn Service Stall/Techline software release TIS 04/2003 or higher data CD. This new calibration will disable both DTC P1683 and DTC P0116.
Claim Information
To receive credit for this repair during the warranty coverage period, submit a claim through the Saturn Dealer System for J6355 (EE PROM -- Reprogramming [Install New PCM Calibration]).
