Your vehicle is equipped with rear door security locks that helps prevent passengers from opening the rear doors from the inside. A lock control is located on the rear edge of each rear door.

The rear door security locks are located on the inside edge of each rear door. You must open the rear doors to access them.

To use these locks:

  1. Insert a key or flat-blade screwdriver into the slot in the cylinder. Rotate the cylinder to the locked (horizontal) position.
  2. Close the door.
  3. Do the same thing to the other rear door lock.

The rear doors of you vehicle cannot be opened from inside when this feature is in use. If you want to open a rear door when the security lock is on:

  1. Unlock the door from the inside.
  2. Open the door from the outside.

To cancel the rear door security lock:

  1. Unlock the door from the inside and open it from the outside.
  2. Insert the key or flat-blade screwdriver into the slot in the cylinder and rotate the cylinder forward to the unlocked (vertical) position.

The rear door latches will now work normally.
