Quarter Outer Lower Panel Replacement Sedan

1. Remove the rocker panel molding. Refer to Rocker Panel Molding Replacement .



2. Remove the wheelhouse liner fasteners from the lower quarter panel.



3. Remove the bolts (1,2,3) from the lower quarter panel.
4. Remove the quarter panel from the vehicle.

1. Insert the tab of the lower panel into the upper quarter panel.

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

2. Install the upper and lower bolts (1,2,3) into the lower quarter panel.

Tighten
Tighten the quarter panel lower bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

3. Install the remaining middle bolt into the lower quarter panel.

Tighten
Tighten the quarter panel lower bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).




4. Install the wheelhouse liner fasteners.
5. Install the rocker molding. Refer to Rocker Panel Molding Replacement .
