Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 861204  Size: SH
  1. Remove the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  2. Important: If the sunroof window is partially closed, remove the actuator first before moving the sunroof window forward.

  3. Disconnect the actuator harness from the sunroof module.
  4. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the actuator leads.

  5. Object Number: 861218  Size: SH
  6. Remove the screws securing the sunroof actuator to the sunroof module.
  7. Remove the sunroof actuator.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 861218  Size: SH
  1. Synchronize the sunroof motor to the sunroof mechanism. Refer to Sunroof Motor Synchronization .
  2. Install the sunroof actuator to the sunroof module.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the sunroof actuator screws.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 5.5 N·m (50 lb in).

  6. Connect the electrical connectors to the sunroof motor/actuator.
  7. Secure the electrical harness to the sunroof module.
  8. Verify the sunroof operation.
  9. Install the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
