Makes 🢒 Saturn 🢒 2003 🢒 ION 🢒 Body and Accessories 🢒 Doors 🢒 Rear Door Lock Replacement - Lower

Removal Procedure
  1. Open the front and rear doors.
  2. Remove the rear door outer panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Outer Panel Replacement .
  3. Partially remove the rear door insulator from the bottom of the door, near the lower lock.
  4. Remove the rear door handle. Refer to Rear Side Door Inside Handle Replacement .
  5. Remove the rear door lower lock fasteners.

  6. Remove the rear door lower lock with the cable attached.
  7. Remove the rear door lower lock cable from the lower lock.

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the rear door lower lock cable onto the lower lock.
  2. Install the rear door lower lock and cable into the door.

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the rear door lower lock fasteners.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  4. Install the rear door handle. Refer to Rear Side Door Inside Handle Replacement .
  5. Install the rear door insulator where the insulator was partially removed.
  6. Install the rear door outer panel link. Refer to Rear Side Door Outer Panel Replacement .
  7. Close the rear and front doors.
