Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 893017 Size: MH
  1. Raise the window to the full UP position.
  2. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  3. Remove the door water deflector in order to access the door handle rod. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  4. Remove the lower window channel retainer. Refer to Front Side Door Window Rear Channel Replacement .
  5. Use a small flat-bladed tool in order to remove the outside handle rod from the door lock assembly.
  6. Remove the outside handle pivot and the outside handle rod as an assembly. Refer to Door Outside Handle Pivot Replacement .
  7. Remove the outside handle rod from the outside handle pivot.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 893017 Size: MH
  1. Install the outside handle rod to the outside handle pivot.
  2. Install the outside handle pivot with the outside handle rod attached. Ensure that the outside handle rod is routed into the door, so that the rod will engage with the lock assembly.
  3. Clip the outside handle rod to the door lock assembly.
  4. Install the door water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  5. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
