J 36346 Fascia Retainer Remover

1. Place the vehicle on a flat level surface.
2. Apply the parking brake.
3. Place the transmission into the neutral position.



4. Using the J 36346 or equivalent, disconnect the control cable from the transaxle range switch lever.
5. Disconnect the control cable from the cable bracket, by depressing the cable clip tabs and pulling up.



6. Release the control cable assembly adjustment lock by sliding the black tab.



7. Insert a screwdriver into the slot under the white tab and pull the tab out.
8. Install the control cable into the cable bracket. The clamp will be secure when a audible snap is heard.
9. Snap the cable end fitting onto the ball stud of the transaxle range switch lever. The cable end will be secure when a audible snap is heard.
10. Lock the control cable adjustment tab using the following procedure:

10.1.

Lock the adjustment in place by pushing down on the white tab.





10.2.

Slide the black tab upward to lock the white tab in place.

11. Verify the operation of the control cable.
