Front Radiator Grille Emblem/Nameplate Delaminating or Discoloring (Install New Emblem)

Some customers may comment that the red color from the radiator grille emblem is discolored or delaminating.

This condition may be due to the reflective material on the back side of the emblem wearing through due to contact to with the radiator grill housing standoffs.

1. Remove the radiator grille emblem/nameplate following SI.
2. Remove just the upper chrome portion of the grille.



3. Cover both of the radiator grille standoffs with squeak reduction tape. Refer to the arrows in the illustration above

The squeak reduction tape can be purchased locally or online (*Kent Anti-Squeak Film Tape KT13512 or *3M™ Squeak Reduction Tape 06356).

4. Install a new emblem in the grille.
5. Reinstall the chrome portion of the grille and reinstall the grille.
