Obtaining Security Code, Location of Security Code Card

The purpose of this bulletin is to inform Saturn Retailers about the location of the Security Code Card.

The Car Pass Card is located in the glove box when shipped from the assembly plant. This card contains the four-digit security code for immobilizer programming for the Engine Control Module (ECM), steering column module (CIM), instrument panel cluster (IPC), underhood electrical center (UEC), rear electrical center (REC) and the radio entertainment head unit (EHU). Dealers are advised to make a copy of this card and put it in the dealer jacket for future reference.

For U.S. dealers, this information can also be found in DealerWorld under the Parts tab which is only accessible to Service Manager and Parts Manager.

Dealers in Canada can find the security code using the Key Code Look-Up feature within the GM Parts Location and Information Services application. Key Code Look-Up is restricted to authorized personnel only, typically your Parts Manager or designate.
