Lower Radiator Sensor Not Used Or Connected - connector coolant switch tank

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

A technician may comment of a sensor/switch mounted in the lower right side of the radiator end tank that is not plugged in. They may state there is no harness to connect to the sensor.

This sensor/switch is used for other markets outside of North America and has no function for US/Canada vehicles. This sensor should not be removed nor should any attempt be made to connect it to any wiring. This sensor/switch serves no function.

Note: A SI feedback form has been submitted to correct the illustrations and directions that show this sensor with a connector attached. (see illustration below)

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
