The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

A technician may find the Infotainment and OnStar system are inoperative when performing the PreDelivery Inspection (PDI).

Recommendation/Instructions:

Due to the extended shipping time of the Astra the fuse for the Infotainment/radio system is moved to an empty cavity in the UHJB to lower power consumption during transit. In addition the OnStar fuse has also been moved to prevent accidental button activation during vehicle build. On early production vehicles the OnStar fuse was installed in the plant but it is now being removed starting with VIN breakpoint W08AT671085070697. The fuse puller needed to move these fuses is located in the rear zone module located on the left side of the cargo area behind the cover, between the two large connectors in the middle (See illustration below).

For the Infotainment/radio move the 20 amp Infotainment (radio) fuse from cavity F11 (see illustration below) to cavity F35 in the under hood junction block (UHJB).

For the OnStar fuse move the 7.5 amp OnStar fuse from cavity F12 (see illustration below) to cavity F36 in the under hood junction block (UHJB).

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
