The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
A technician may comment they are unable to communicate with the vehicle or they are unaware of the hardware/software needed.
Recommendation/Instructions:
The Astra requires a stand alone 10 or 32meg Tech2 card. The software can be found on Tis2Web. (Please use the latest version available) A separate card must be used. If the dealer can locate their 10meg card they may load the software on it, if they cannot locate their 10 meg card a newer 32meg card can be sourced to use. A Candi module will also be needed.
Note: Please advise the technicians not to leave both cards installed in the Tech2 when operating, This may cause software issues.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
