The Steering Wheel Module (SWM) contain switches that control the Front and rear wiper and washer functions. These switches are integrated within the SWM and are not serviceable as a separate component. The SWM monitors these switch inputs for internal faults and set DTC B3637 A5 through DTC B3642 A5 if any are detected.
The system voltage is 9-18 volts.
The SWM detects multiple or simultaneous switch inputs from a wiper or washer switch for more than one minute that would indicate a stuck switch.
The SWM ignores inputs from the malfunctioning switch.
• | The DTC will be current for as long as the fault is present. |
• | When the fault is no longer present, the DTC will be a history DTC. |
• | A history DTC will clear after 40 ignition cycles. |
