Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.

    Important: Wait 1 minute for the airbag to deactivate.

  1. Disconnect the battery.

  2. Object Number: 1941206  Size: LH
  3. Remove the front seat belt securing panel (1).
  4. Remove the seat belt from the front seat.
  5. Remove the bolt (2).

  6. Position the seat to the most forward position.

  7. Object Number: 1941313  Size: LH
  8. Remove the driver seat, rear.
  9. Remove the 2 bolts (1).

    Important: Disconnect the wiring harness plug.

  10. Remove the front seat.
  11. Remove from the front guide.

  12. Partly remove the front seat backrest paneling.
  13. • Remove the paneling all round (I).
    • Release the 2 clamps (II).

  14. Remove the side airbag.
  15. Remove the 3 bolts (1).

  16. Remove the side airbag.
  17. Release and disconnect the wiring harness plug.

  18. Uncover the airbag cable harness.

  20. Remove the height adjuster panel.
  21. Release with a plastic wedge.

  22. Remove the height adjuster.
  23. Remove the 2 bolts (1) and remove the lever.

  24. Remove the rear seat backrest adjuster wheel.
  25. Release with a plastic wedge.

  26. Remove the outer paneling.
  27. • Remove the 2 bolts (1, 3).
    • Remove front of paneling from the guide (2).

  28. Remove the interior paneling.
  29. • Remove the bolt (1).
    • Remove the paneling.
  30. Remove the central wiring harness plug for the seat, in vehicles with heated seats.
  31. Disconnect the connection.

  32. Uncover the wiring harness for seat heating, if equipped.
  33. Disconnect and uncover the wiring harness plug (arrows).

    Remove the 3 cable tie (1).

  34. Remove the front seat backrest.
  35. Remove the 4 bolts (1, 2).

    Remove the front seat backrest.

  36. Remove the upholstery covering.
  37. • Remove the upholstery covering from the seat mount all the way round (arrows).
    • Remove 16 upholstery clamps.
    • Remove the upholstery covering.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the upholstery covering.
  2. • Position the upholstery covering.
    • Install 16 upholstery clamps.
    • Fasten the upholstery covering to the seat mount all the way round.

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the front seat backrest.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the 4 bolts to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).

  5. Position wiring harness for seat heating, if equipped.
  6. Secure with 4 cable ties.

  7. Position the airbag cable harness.
  8. Install the central wiring harness plug for the seat.
  9. Install the plug.

  10. Install the interior paneling.
  11. Insert the paneling.

    Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 2.5 N·m (22 lb in).

  12. Install the exterior paneling.
  13. Insert the paneling.

    Tighten
    Tighten the 2 bolts to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).

  14. Install the rear seat backrest adjuster wheel.
  15. Install the adjusting wheel.

  16. Install the height adjuster.
  17. Tighten
    Tighten the 2 bolts to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).

  18. Install the height adjuster panel.
  19. Clip in panel.

    Important: Ensure correct wiring harness routing.

  20. Insert the side airbag.
  21. Connect and latch the wiring harness plug.

  22. Fasten the side airbag.
  23. Tighten
    Tighten the 3 bolts to 5 N·m (44 lb in).

  24. Fasten the front seat backrest paneling.
  25. • Re-install the 2 clamps.
    • Fasten paneling all round.

    Important: Connect the wiring harness plug.

  26. Install the front seat.
  27. Insert into front guide.

  28. Install the front seat, rear.
  29. Tighten
    Tighten the 2 bolts to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).

  30. Reposition the seat to the original position.
  31. Install the seat belt at the front seat.
  32. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  33. Install the seat belt fastening panel.
  34. Connect the battery.
  35. For programming procedures, refer to Control Module References .
