Removal Procedure
- Remove the tail lamps. Refer to
Tail Lamp Replacement
and
Tail Lamp Circuit Board Replacement
.
- Remove the licence plate.
- Release the rear fascia.
| • | Remove the 4 right-hand (2) and left-hand (1) outside bolts. |
| • | Remove the 2 center bolts (3). |
Important: Danger of damage. Carefully disengage rear fascia from the outer supports. Push side of rear fascia upwards in the outer support area and at the same time pull outwards in direction of arrow.
- With the aid of an assistant, remove the rear fascia (1).
| • | Release the rear fascia from the left and right outer supports. |
| • | Release the rear fascia from the rear center support. |
| • | Disconnect the main wiring harness plug (2). |
- When replacing the rear fascia, transfer the attaching parts.
Installation Procedure
- With the aid of an assistant position rear fascia.
| • | Connect the main wiring harness plug. |
| • | Install the rear fascia into the left and right outer supports. |
| • | Install the rear fascia into the rear center support. |
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- Install the rear fascia.
Tighten
Tighten the 4 outside right and left fascia bolts to 2.5 N·m (22 lb in).
Tighten
Tighten the 2 center fascia bolts to 2.5 N·m (22 lb in).
- Install the licence plate.
- Install the tail lamps. Refer to
Tail Lamp Replacement
and
Tail Lamp Circuit Board Replacement
