For 1990-2009 cars only
- Install the NEW 2 transmission fluid passage seals (89) and 1 transmission fluid passage seal (85).
- Remove any gasket material and be careful that no oil is on the contacting surfaces of the torque converter housing (10).
- Apply a 3 mm (1/8 in) bead of sealant GM P/N 89020326 (Canadian P/N 89021188) to the torque converter housing as shown.
- Install the torque converter housing (10).
- Install thread locker GM P/N 12345382 (Canadian P/N 10953489) on the torque converter bolts (801, 802, 813).
- Install the 15 torque converter bolts (801, 802, 813).
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
Tighten
Tighten bolts to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).
