Liftgate Lock Striker Replacement Sedan

1. Open the liftgate.



2. Remove the rear compartment sill trim panel.

•	Carefully release the 4 clips in the upper area (2) with a plastic wedge.

•	Release the 4 clips in the lower area (1) in the direction of the interior.





Important:  Mark the installation position.

3. Remove the liftgate lock striker (1).

Remove the 2 bolts (2).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

1. Install the liftgate lock striker.

Tighten
Tighten the 2  bolts to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

2. Install the rear compartment sill trim panel.

•	Install 4 clips in the lower area.

•	Install 4 clips in the upper area.

Liftgate Lock Striker Replacement Coupe

1. Open the liftgate.
2. Remove the rear compartment carpet.




Important: Remove the rear compartment sill trim panel by using slow and even pressure.

3. Remove the rear compartment sill trim panel.

Release the 7 clips (1).





Important: Mark the installation position.

4. Remove the liftgate lock striker (arrow).

Remove the 2 bolts (1).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

1. Install the liftgate lock striker.

Tighten
Tighten the 2 bolts to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

2. Install the rear compartment sill trim panel.

Install the 7 clips.

3. Install the rear compartment carpet.
4. Close the liftgate.
