Removal Procedure
  1. In vehicles with open and start inner paneling, remove the front door. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .

    2. Object Number: 1938952 Size: SH
  2. Disconnect the open and start wiring harness plug.
    3. • Open the clamps.
    • Disconnect the wiring harness plug.

    Object Number: 1941007 Size: SH
  3. Remove the front door access panel.

    4. Remove the access panel (1) with a plastic wedge.


    Object Number: 1941011 Size: LF
  4. Remove the fixed handle, part of the front door with lock cylinder.
    5. • Pull out and hold the moveable handle part (I).

       Important: The moveable handle part must now be secured in pulled position.

    • Turn the bolt (II) left until it stops.
    • Remove the fixed handle part with the lock cylinder (IV).
  5. Remove the door handle.

    6. Pull back the moveable handle part (III) to remove.

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the door handle.

    2. Install the moveable handle part into door panel.

  2. Install the front door fixed handle part with lock cylinder.
    3. • Install the fixed handle part with the lock cylinder.

       Important: Hold the moveable handle part in place while turning bolt.

    • Turn the bolt right until it stops.
    • Insert the cover cap.
  3. Install the front door access panel.
  4. Connect the wiring harness plug to vehicles with open and start.
  5. Install the front side door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
